• Lincoln-Hubbard School hosted the SEF-sponsored “Family Literacy Night” in March 2017 for students in grades 1-5. Teachers Debbie Yendrick and Abigail Emerson led the sessions. Parents were enthusiastic, with remarks such as “Great as a parent to see how educators read to kids,” “it was beneficial and helpful as a reminder to read aloud together,” and “the ‘book tasting’ was a great event as it gave the kids a different flavor of books.” The kids had so much fun--the book reading, legos, shaving cream, and play dough activities were each a big hit! Thanks to all who participated.
